Summer Programs

Youth Theater Day Camp

In the summer of 2006 The Ross Ragland Theater launched a 4-week, full-day Youth Theater Day Camp for children grades k-8. The inaugural camp surpassed enrollment projections, providing a meaningful arts experience to nearly 60 children. Organizers plan to expand the program in 2007 & 2008.

The 2008 Youth Theater Day Camp will present Disney's Mulan Jr. and will be open to studnets k-12. This year's Youth Theater Day Camp will conclude with two performances and accommodate up to 100 students. This is a wonderful opportunity for children to have a "behind the scenes" theater arts experience. In addition, children will gain confidence while learning about different cultures.

Camp dates are June 16-July 13, 2007. Students in grades k-3 will attend camp from 9:00 a.m. to 12:00 p.m. Students in grades 4-12 will attend camp from 9:00 a.m. to 3:00 p.m.
Please note that from 8:30 to 9:00 a.m. will be the Camper's Check-in and Announcements.

Performance dates:
  • Saturday, July 12, 7:00 p.m.
  • Sunday, July 13, 2:00 p.m.
